Starting on July 21st at 2:00 PM, each week will focus on building new skills, from holding a hook and yarn to mastering stitches like single, double, and triple crochet. Through fun and creative activities, your child will work towards a final project—a colorful granny square. But the fun doesn’t stop there! At the end of the sessions, all the squares created will be joined together to make a cozy community blanket, showcasing the collective talents of all participants.
This event is not only a great way for children to learn a new skill and express their creativity but also fosters a sense of community as they work together towards a common goal. Crocheting is a relaxing and rewarding hobby that can provide a sense of accomplishment and pride in creating something beautiful with your own hands.
So, mark your calendars and join us at the Vigo County Public Library for the “Young Yarners” event. Let your child unleash their creativity and learn the art of crocheting in a fun and supportive environment. Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to bond with your child and be a part of a special community project!
