Starting on July 28th at 2:00 PM, each week will focus on building a new skill, from holding a hook and yarn to mastering stitches like single, double, and triple crochet. Through engaging and creative activities, your child will work towards a final project—a colorful granny square. But the fun doesn’t stop there! At the end of the sessions, all the squares created will be joined together to make a cozy community blanket.
This event is not only a great way for kids to learn a new skill and express their creativity but also fosters a sense of community as they work together on a collective project. The “Young Yarners” event is a fantastic opportunity for children to develop their fine motor skills, concentration, and patience in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Don’t miss out on this exciting and educational event! Mark your calendars for July 28th and join us at the Vigo County Public Library for the “Young Yarners” series. Let your child unleash their creativity and be part of something special.
