Trump Replaces Susie Wiles with Stephen Miller as Chief of Staff Amid Post-Midterm Shifts

President Trump has announced via social media that Stephen Miller will replace Susie Wiles as his chief of staff, marking a significant personnel shift within the White House. This decision follows the recent midterm elections, with reports indicating that Trump promoted Miller and backed Joe Gruters as part of a broader strategy following the historic midterm losses for Republicans. Tony Dokoupil anchored a special report detailing this transition, highlighting the immediate implications of the change for the administration's leadership structure. Stephen Miller, described as the architect of the President's mass deportation campaign, has served as the public face of many of Mr. Trump's immigration policies. Analysts suggest that this promotion signals a consolidation of power regarding immigration enforcement and policy direction. The move comes as five key developments have emerged showing what these staff changes leave untouched, suggesting a continuity in certain strategic priorities despite the personnel turnover. The appointment positions Miller to take on the chief of staff role, a position previously held by Wiles. This transition reflects a reorganization of the White House team, focusing on specific policy areas that have been central to the administration's agenda. The decision underscores the ongoing dynamics within the Republican party following the midterms, as leadership adjustments are made to address the political landscape. #NexSouk #AIForGood #EthicalAI #WhiteHouseStaff #ImmigrationPolicy **References** * CBS News.
