Trump Names Stephen Miller as New White House Chief of Staff

US President Donald Trump has announced that Stephen Miller will serve as his new White House chief of staff, effective Monday, replacing current Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. Trump described Miller as "one of my most trusted advisers" and noted that he currently holds the position of deputy to Wiles. This appointment marks a significant shift in the administration's leadership structure following the recent midterm elections. Miller, who also retains the title of homeland security adviser, is widely recognized as the architect of several of the Trump administration's toughest domestic policies. His appointment comes amidst scrutiny regarding his role in driving the administration's mass deportation program. Miller faced particular criticism following the deadly shootings of two Minneapolis protesters by ICE agents in January, an incident that drew attention to the enforcement actions under his guidance. The news was reported by multiple international outlets, including The Sydney Morning Herald, NDTV, The Straits Times, and France 24, all confirming the transition of Miller from deputy chief of staff to the top position in the White House. #NexSouk #AIForGood #EthicalAI #GlobalPolitics #ImmigrationPolicy **References** * The Sydney Morning Herald: "Trump promotes Stephen Miller to become new White House chief of staff" (https://www.smh.com.au/world/north-america/trump-promotes-stephen-miller-to-become-new-white-house-chief-of-staff-20261107-p61c6u.html?ref=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_source=rss_world) * NDTV: "After Midterm Rout, Trump Announces Stephen Miller As New Chief Of Staff" (https://www.ndtv.com/world-news/after-midterm-rout-trump-announces-stephen-miller-as-new-chief-of-staff-12294804) * The Straits Times: "Trump promotes Stephen Miller to chief of staff, replacing Susie Wiles" (https://www.straitstimes.com/world/united-states/trump-promotes-stephen-miller-to-chief-of-staff-role-replacing-susie-wiles) * France 24: "Trump announces immigration hardliner Stephen Miller as new chief of staff" (https://www.france24.com/en/americas/20261106-trump-announces-immigration-hardliner-stephen-miller-as-new-chief-of-staff) **Political Bias Index** **Score:** 4/10 (Blue - Liberal) *Note: The index reflects the prominence of the subject matter (immigration hardliner, mass deportation, criticism of ICE actions) within the provided source texts, which lean towards a liberal perspective on the appointment's implications, despite the neutral reporting style of the outlets.*
