Nicolas Cage and Bill Skarsgård Reunite in New 'Lords of War' Trailer

Vertical has released a 43-second teaser for *Lords of War*, the sequel to the 2005 geopolitical satire *Lord of War*, marking a significant return for director Andrew Niccol and his cast. The trailer features Nicolas Cage reprising his role as an international arms dealer, now paired with newcomer Bill Skarsgård, who plays his son. This casting choice establishes a father-son dynamic central to the narrative, bringing together the veteran actor known for his eclectic filmography with the young star of *It Chapter Two*. The project represents a reunion between Cage and Niccol, who directed the original 2005 film. While the original movie was a critical success, this sequel aims to revisit the geopolitical themes through a new generational lens. The teaser, distributed by Vertical, highlights the action-oriented nature of the film, focusing on the tension between the two characters. This announcement has generated immediate interest from entertainment outlets, with GamesRadar noting the significance of Cage returning to the role after 21 years. The AV Club has also covered the release, emphasizing the dynamic between the established star and the rising talent. **Sources:** * GamesRadar: "21 Years Later, Nicolas Cage Returns as an International Arms Dealer Alongside Newcomer Bill Skarsgard in First Trailer for Lord of War Sequel" (https://www.gamesradar.com/entertainment/action-movies/21-years-later-nicolas-cage-returns-as-an-international-arms-dealer-alongside-newcomer-bill-skarsgard-in-first-trailer-for-lord-of-war-sequel/) * The A.V.
