House Leader Jeffries Demands Stephen Miller's Removal Amidst Trump Administration Controversy

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) has publicly called for White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller to be fired, characterizing him as a "dangerous xenophobe." This statement emerged as part of a broader political maneuver where Jeffries and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer reportedly hope that the resulting "dueling fury" between the two parties regarding Miller's appointment is sufficient to save their respective leadership positions. The controversy centers on Miller's role within the Trump administration. According to reports, Miller is set to take over the position of White House Chief of Staff. During his tenure, he has been credited with driving the President's most controversial immigration policies across both of his administrations. While Jeffries has leveled what some outlets describe as "vile threats" against Miller, the narrative is complex. One source notes that Jeffries and Schumer are strategically hoping the conflict over Miller will be enough to preserve their leadership jobs, suggesting a calculated political response rather than an isolated outburst. Conversely, other coverage highlights the intensity of Jeffries's remarks, framing them as a direct attack on Miller's character and policy record. The situation underscores a significant rift within the current political landscape, with the House Minority Leader directly challenging the administration's top immigration architect. As Miller prepares to assume the Chief of Staff role, the debate over his tenure and the potential fallout for congressional leadership remains a focal point of national discourse. #NexSouk #AIForGood #EthicalAI #USPolitics #ImmigrationPolicy **References** * https://twitchy.com/dougp/2026/11/06/hakeem-jeffries-and-chuck-schumer-hope-dueling-fury-about-stephen-miller-is-enough-to-save-them-n2434180 * https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2026/11/06/hakeem-jeffries-calls-for-stephen-miller-to-be-fired-from-trump-admin-dangerous-xenophobe/ * https://redstate.com/nick-arama/2026/11/06/hakeem-jeffries-remarks-about-stephen-miller-n2209127 * https://www.cbsnews.com/news/stephen-miller-chief-of-staff-trump-immigration-policies/ **Political Bias Index** **Blue (Liberal)**
