England's Archer and Rashid Shine in Warm-Up Victory as Tongue Ruled Out of Australia Tour

England cricket captain Ben Stokes has confirmed that fast bowler Josh Tongue will miss the upcoming white-ball tour of Australia due to a toe injury, while all-rounder Jofra Archer and leg-spinner Adil Rashid have made impressive returns to the squad. The news follows a 92-run warm-up victory over Western Australia in Perth, where Archer and Rashid were instrumental in the touring side's performance. According to Sky Sports, Archer and Rashid starred in the match against Western Australia, helping England secure a decisive win ahead of the official series. The victory served as a crucial preparation for the team as they stepped up their preparations for the one-day international series against Australia. However, the celebratory mood was tempered by injury news regarding Josh Tongue. Both Sky Sports and the BBC reported that the England fast bowler has been ruled out of the Australia tour. The injury is identified as a toe issue, which prevents him from participating in the white-ball tour. The combination of a key bowler's absence and the return of Archer and Rashid sets the stage for a challenging start to the tour, with the team now focusing on managing squad depth while integrating their returning stars.
