In West Virginia, a Winter Weather Advisory covers portions of northeast Kentucky, southeast Ohio, and central, northeast, northern, southeast, southern, and western West Virginia until 1 PM EST on Tuesday. Snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches, along with a light glaze of ice, are expected, leading to slippery road conditions and impacting the morning commute.

In addition to the snow and ice advisories, a Flood Advisory has been issued for southern Mississippi, including Harrison and Jackson counties, due to excessive rainfall causing minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
