Similarly, in New Orleans, Louisiana, a strong thunderstorm near Pearl River is moving northeast at 20 mph, with winds in excess of 40 mph. Locations such as Slidell, Picayune, and Pearl River are expected to experience gusty winds that could lead to tree limb damage and the blowing around of unsecured objects.
Further alerts include a Severe Thunderstorm Warning in Fort Worth, Texas, with wind gusts of 60 mph and quarter-sized hail, and a Wind Advisory in Boise, Idaho, with southwest winds of 25 to 35 mph and gusts up to 50 mph. These alerts highlight the diverse range of weather phenomena affecting different parts of the country.
In addition, a High Wind Warning has been issued in Medford, Oregon, with southwest winds of 25 to 40 mph and gusts of 55 to 65 mph expected. This warning covers exposed areas of Curry County coast, including Gold Beach and Pistol River, where high winds may cause property damage and power outages.
