Furthermore, a Special Weather Statement issued by the NWS State College in Pennsylvania warns of strong winds across the region ahead of an approaching cold front. Sustained winds of 10 to 20 MPH, with occasional gusts between 30 and 40 MPH, are expected. These winds, separate from the line of gusty showers and thunderstorms, could pose risks to loose and unsecured objects outdoors.
In Colorado, a Fire Weather Watch has been issued for several Fire Weather Zones, with low relative humidity and strong winds creating conditions where fires can catch and spread quickly. Extreme caution is advised for any outdoor burning activities in these areas.
