Tufting is a modern twist on the traditional craft of rug-making, where you use a tufting gun to weave yarn through a cut of cloth. During the course, students will learn how to operate a tufting gun and create their very own 18″x18″ rug. No prior experience is needed, making this a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in trying out a new craft.
Students will have the chance to draw or trace a simple/bold design at the beginning of the class, or they can opt to have the instructor create an abstract design for them. While a variety of yarn colors will be provided, students are welcome to bring along any specific colors they would like to use for their rugs.
After tufting their rugs, students will apply the glue backing and can stay as long as needed to finish their creations. Rugs will be trimmed and shaped during the week, and students will be notified via email when their rugs are ready for pick up.
To secure your spot in the course, full payment must be made prior to the start of class. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the CSA office at 812-237-2528.
