During the event, children will have the opportunity to participate in storytime with their stuffed friends, earn their stuffie’s chef badge, and then tuck them in for the night. However, the stuffed animals won’t be getting much sleep as they embark on exciting adventures throughout the night. Parents can pick up their little one’s stuffed animals the next day and receive a keepsake photo booklet capturing the overnight escapades.
Supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, this program is part of the NEA Big Read initiative, a partnership with Arts Midwest that aims to broaden our understanding of the world, our neighbors, and ourselves through the power of shared reading. By showcasing a diverse range of themes, voices, and perspectives, the NEA Big Read encourages meaningful conversations, artistic responses, and new discoveries within each community.
The Sleepover Café event promises to be a heartwarming and engaging experience for children and their stuffed companions. It provides a unique opportunity for families to bond over storytelling and imaginative play, fostering creativity and a love for reading in young minds.
Don’t miss out on this enchanting event at the Vigo County Public Library. Join us for a night of magic, laughter, and unforgettable memories with your little ones and their beloved stuffed animals.
