In Ocracoke Island and Hatteras Island, North Carolina, a Coastal Flood Warning, High Surf Advisory, and Coastal Flood Advisory have been issued concurrently. These warnings highlight the potential for inundation, large breaking waves, and dangerous swimming conditions, necessitating heightened awareness and preparedness among residents and visitors.
The convergence of these weather warnings underscores the complexity of climate-related challenges facing coastal communities. From freezing temperatures impacting agriculture to coastal flooding and hazardous surf conditions, a holistic approach to resilience and adaptation is crucial.
