Looking ahead, a Freeze Watch is in place for northwest North Carolina, southwest and west central Virginia, and southeast West Virginia. Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 25 degrees are possible late Thursday night through Friday morning, posing risks to crops, sensitive vegetation, and outdoor plumbing.
