In Houston, Galveston, and Brazoria in Texas, an Air Quality Alert has been issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) for an Ozone Action Day on Monday, September 15, 2025. Atmospheric conditions are expected to produce high levels of ozone pollution in the area, prompting recommendations to reduce emissions and conserve energy to prevent further pollution.
Lastly, a Coastal Flood Advisory has been issued by the NWS Charleston SC for Coastal Colleton and Charleston Counties in South Carolina, warning of up to one half foot of inundation above ground level along shorelines and tidal waterways. This could lead to some roads becoming impassable, particularly around high tide.
These alerts underscore the importance of staying informed and prepared for changing weather conditions, as well as the need for proactive measures to mitigate potential risks and impacts. By heeding the guidance provided by meteorological agencies and taking appropriate precautions, individuals and communities can better navigate and respond to the dynamic nature of weather events.
