Each week, young participants will embark on a journey to master the craft of crochet. Starting from the basics of holding a hook and yarn, they will progress to learning essential stitches such as single, double, and triple crochet. Through engaging and hands-on activities, children will practice their new skills and work towards a final project – a vibrant and colorful granny square.
The best part? At the end of the 8-week series, all the individual squares created by the young yarners will be joined together to create a cozy community blanket. This collaborative project not only showcases the creativity and hard work of each child but also fosters a sense of community and teamwork.
The sessions will kick off on June 23rd at 2:00 PM at the Vigo County Public Library. This event provides a fantastic opportunity for children to learn a new skill, unleash their creativity, and make new friends in a supportive and encouraging environment.
