In the past month, the gap between the two consoles widened in favor of the PS4 by 381,807 units. Over the last 12 months, the PS4 has outsold the PS5 by 1.32 million units, resulting in a total lead of 2.97 million units for the older console.
The PS4 achieved milestones of 80 million units sold in month 56, 90 million in month 62, and 100 million in month 72, ultimately reaching a lifetime total of 117.20 million units. The PS5 currently stands 41.62 million units behind the lifetime sales of the PS4.
